Writing keeps me sane…
I’m passionate about a diverse array of topics and this blog will likely demonstrate that. This space will also serve as a place to remind me of the things I find important, beautiful and/or useful.
I’m a bit of an amateur sociologist and frequently I cast a critical eye on various social and political issues such as health care, the aging, Medicaid, the social work profession, gender, class, race, sexuality and religion. It’s not so much that I criticize to make my opinions stand out, but rather I criticize as a way to help me understand, dig deeper and learn.
Also, I am very fond of the musician Ani DiFranco, who has almost a shrine-like presence in this blog already!
